MADRID — A 24-year-old Spanish citizen has been launched from jail in Iran after virtually 4 months, Spain’s Overseas Ministry stated Sunday.

Ana Baneira was launched Saturday, the ministry stated, explaining that it waited to make the announcement till her aircraft took off from Iran.

Spanish Overseas Minister José Manuel Albares stated Baneira would first fly to Dubai, then to Geneva, and at last to Coruña, the northern Spanish metropolis the place she is initially from and is predicted to reach Monday.

The explanations for her arrest and detention in early November weren’t made public. Baneira is a human rights activist who was arrested whereas allegedly participating in protests in Tehran, in response to Spanish nationwide information company EFE.

She was one among two Spanish nationals recognized to have been detained in Iran amid the anti-government protests that erupted within the nation after the demise of Masha Amini, a lady who died in police custody.
