Teenage bike owner Estela Domínguez has died after being hit by a truck whereas coaching, the Royal Spanish Biking Federation (RFEC) stated in a press release on Friday.
The accident occurred on a freeway within the Spanish metropolis of Salamanca, the assertion stated.

Based on the RFEC, Domínguez labeled second within the junior class within the Spanish Ladies’s Cup in 2022 and had ridden for the Spanish Nationwide group within the Tour du Gévaudan Occitanie within the Nations Cup.
Her racing group Sopela, who Domínguez had joined originally of 2023, stated in a press release: “With immense ache, we have now realized the information that Estela Domínguez has died this afternoon as sufferer of a crash whereas coaching.

Alejandro Valverde, the 2009 Vuelta a España winner, posted his condolences on social media.

Domínguez’s father was Juan Carlos Domínguez, per Reuters, who gained a stage of the Giro d’Italia.
