Similar to the first 13-game game on ESPN from the NBA slate on Wednesday, in which the Heat host the Bucks, these two West Coast teams are entering this matchup at two completely different ends of the spectrum.
The Warriors have the best record in the league at 20-4 and the best defense in the league. Meanwhile, the Trail Blazers have lost six of their last seven games and are in 30th place, the last in the league for defensive scoring.
Led by early MVP favorite Stephen Curry, who hit an average career high in 3-pointers at 5.5 per game, the Warriors have absolutely dominated the league. As the owner of the best net rating in the league, mainly for its defense, Golden State ranks in the top 3 of the most important offensive categories such as points per game (113.6, 3rd), assists (29.0, 1st), field goal percentage (47.6%, 2nd) and 3-point percent (37.6%, 3rd).

This game is the Warriors’ final competition at the Chase Center before they start on a road-heavy schedule. After playing the Trail Blazers, they head out on a five-game road trip that’s part of a track where they only play five of 19 games at home.
The Trail Blazers, on the other hand, have their hands full solving problems. This game comes just days after the franchise parted ways with Neil Olshey, their general manager and president of basketball operations.
On the pitch, the team will compete for this game without the starting back area of Damian Lillard, who missed the last four games, and CJ McCollum, who did not travel with the team after a recent CT scan revealed a pneumothorax (collapsed right) Lung).
