As for the debt ceiling,We just hope we cando this across parties. Are all kinds of proposalsthe members have. One that was really endorsedback from Mitch McConnell. But who knows, you know whoWhite? But it was – the manifestation of it now, Mr. Yarmouth and Mr. Boyle has brought up that representsResponsibility with the secretary of the Treasury to the Determination to pay off the debtceiling
.That decision could beoverruled by Congress. It would take 60 votesthe current custom. butanyway, Congress would must oversteer. That seems to be attractiveon both sides of the corridor because of the consequences forFolks not to lift it.But a lot of Democrats andRepublicans voted againstRaising the debt ceiling, howevernever to the extent ofto endanger it.This is the first time.
Speaker Pelosi turned the tables on Mitch McConnell
Spokesman Pelosi will use Mitch McConnell’s own ideas against him and expose his hypocrisy by getting him to vote against his own proposals.
The idea behind the McConnell idea is good. The debt ceiling is too important to the US economy. Political football shouldn’t be in the hands of Congress.
The debt limit is an artificial construct. It’s not in the Constitution. Congress can choose to handle the US debt as it pleases, as long as it does not compromise the full confidence and creditworthiness of the United States.
Time and again, the Democrats have outsmarted McConnell on the debt ceiling, and the best move of all will be to free the debt ceiling hostage forever by using minority leader McConnell’s own idea against him.
