Secretary of Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg had a weirdly tense and terse response when a reporter requested him in regards to the residents struggling within the wake of the East Palestine practice catastrophe, refusing to reply questions, saying he was on “private time.”
Buttigieg was in Washington D.C. Tuesday, when a reporter with the Every day Caller approached him and requested what he would say to the oldsters in East Palestine. His response — “I would refer you to a couple of dozen interviews I’ve given right this moment, and if you would like to rearrange a dialog, be certain that to achieve out to our press workplace.”
When the reporter persevered, Buttigieg, who was strolling along with his husband Chasten, brushed her off, saying, “… I am taking some private time and I am strolling down the road.”
That wasn’t the top … the reporter requested when the previous presidential candidate would go to East Palestine, he stated he’d “share that once I’m prepared.”
After which the weird flip … he stopped and requested the reporter if he may take an image of her. It appeared like an intimidation tactic … the reporter later Tweeted, “I suppose he did not like that so he took a pic of me … simply doing my job, sir.”
Buttigieg has introduced he’ll journey to East Palestine Thursday.
