Spokesman Pelosi said, “The financial security of families must never be jeopardized, as our Republican colleagues seem to be doing. Although, as Mr. Hoyer mentioned, at one point Mr. McConnell was playing Russian roulette with the economy. Russian roulette from Moscow Mitch, interesting. “
Mitch McConnell hates being called Moscow Mitch.
McConnell earned his nickname by refusing to stand with Obama in condemning Russian electoral interference in 2016 and then lifting sanctions against Russians after Trump was in office while receiving Russian investments in his home state of Kentucky, which included the Russians later got on their feet.
It wasn’t just a clever sentence from Speaker Pelosi. The speaker’s comments were a message that the Democrats will not be playing games with McConnell in December.
The Democrats know exactly what they’re up against on the other side of the aisle.
Mitch McConnell will be nearly 81 at the time of the 2022 election. His days in the Senate are coming to an end and next year halftime could be his last best chance to be majority leader again.
America’s last McConnell is using desperate tactics in an attempt to regain power. Moscow Mitch is the exact description of a man who harms his country in one last breath in order to return to the majority.
