The Arizona Democratic Party has reprimanded Sen. Kyrsten Sinema for refusing to vote for the filibuster amendment to hand over voting rights.
The Arizona Republic reported, “Members of the Arizona Democratic Party’s Executive Committee passed a resolution Saturday to censure Sen. Kyrsten Sinema for voting to keep the filibuster. Saturday morning’s closed-door vote came after an avalanche of anger from liberals who are characterizing Sinema, D-Ariz., as an obstructionist who helped derail Democrats’ chances of passing voting rights legislation.”
Arizona Democratic Party Chair Raquel Teran released a statement after the vote:

Sinema likely views the censorship as a political victory because her dream is to be the next John McCain in power forever, but a more realistic view of the situation is that Sinema is likely on her way out of the Democratic Party.
Sen. Bernie Sanders vowed to support key challengers for Sen. Sinema and Manchin after they refused to change filibuster rules to transfer voting rights.
Progressives in Arizona already have a challenger in mind for Sinema, and that challenger, Rep. Reuben Gallego, hasn’t ruled out running against them.
Sinema’s goal of becoming independent has long been suspected, and the rebuke looks like a signal that a break between Sinema and the Democrats is imminent.
