James Harden has had an inconsistent 2021-22 season so far.
On Tuesday night, it was time for one of his bigger games against the Nets’ Crosstown rivals, the New York Knicks.

The Beard shot out, recording almost a triple-double with 34 points, 10 rebounds, eight assists and three steals in 40 minutes of action. After the game, he credited NBA legend Reggie Miller who called the game for TNT.
“He definitely got me going,” Harden said at the post-game press conference.
James Harden says Reggie Miller motivated him ahead of today’s game against the Knicks:

Early in the game, the Beard Miller joined forces with Curry and Ray Allen to knock down 2,500 3-pointers.
As part of the showcase, Harden also provided the NBA with a rare putback dunk. In his opinion, it is the first of his career.
“It could have been the first of my career, 13 years,” said Harden after the game. “I had to let it out. I wasn’t great watching the highlight, but it felt great”
The narrow 112-110 win not only helped the Nets recover from a Saturday night loss to Phoenix, it also helped Harden get his form after a dismal outing (7 TOs, 4-15 FGs) that he was in to regain Booed by fans at the Barclays Center.
In fact, Harden’s comments that he wasn’t sure when to score and when to play for others went viral after that game, considering how well he balanced that responsibility with the Nets in the second half of last season Has.
Brooklyn hopes this appearance against the Knicks will usher Hardens return to elite form on a more consistent basis.
