CES is back in Las Vegas this year and associated with it are a number of new product launches. The Consumer Technology Event now has its own Digital Health Track with a number of new companies and established names introducing and introducing new products.

Omron Healthcare announced a new tool for remote patient monitoring and connected blood pressure monitors. The tool called VitalSight is designed to help people manage high blood pressure by sharing data to increase engagement and treatment. The VitalSight Kit contains a connected blood pressure monitor and a “data hub” that can be used to share data with patients and doctors.
“VitalSight involves patients more closely in their hypertension management. This service securely shares accurate patient information with the patient’s care team and provides clinically relevant information to further develop treatment.
“Physicians who adopted VitalSight immediately are already telling us they are getting better insights into their patients and seeing measurable behavioral changes for better heart health,” said Jeffrey Ray, OMRON’s executive director of business and technology.
According to the release, the tool can be integrated into the EPA of a service provider and doctors can set up an automatic notification system.
Avocad wants to help users to analyze their nutritional needs based on breath analysis. Users breathe into a nanosensor device that can measure ketones in their breath.
The company’s artificial intelligence is then able to display a ketone score and track a person’s fat burning metabolism. It also includes AI-based suggestions to help users plan meals.
Circular ring is a connected wearable that helps track sleep and activity. It is able to analyze a person’s “bio-signals” while they sleep. It can also help users track their physical activity and performance over time. Users can tap the appropriate app for more insight into their health and wellbeing.
BBalance created a mat-based scale that can give users a posture rating and recommendations for improving posture. The mat is also capable of providing the user with information about their daily balanced weight and whether it is in line with their health goals. The information is sent to an app and users can choose to view their weight or not.
The app also provides daily coaching for users to improve their health.
BeHear SMARTO is a portable sound amplifier. Users can manually increase the volume or program the system. It can give the user a hearing boost of 70 dB. The company said the technology can be used for face-to-face conversations, calls, audio, TV, and computers.
Owlet has released a new baby monitoring system called Dream Duo. It is designed to track a baby’s sleep and provide insight into the child’s sleep needs. The system includes a portable sock monitor, HD video camera and digital sleep trainer. Parents can also use the Dream app to gather information about a baby’s sleep status and sleep over time.
