The Bucks will host the Celtics in the second of five NBA games on Christmas Day.
It is the third meeting of the two teams this season. The first was a thriller in which the Celtics beat the Bucks in extra time, led by Dennis Schroder’s season high of 38 points. The Celtics won the second comfortably behind a season high of 42 points from Jayson Tatum.
The Bucks faced the possibility that Giannis Antetokounmpo wouldn’t play on Christmas Day as he didn’t confirm the NBA’s COVID-19 health and safety protocols until Friday, but the two-time MVP is now expected to play.
Antetokounmpo has averaged 27.0 points, 11.6 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 1.6 blocks in 26 games this season.
Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo is expected to return to the lineup against Boston today (2:30 p.m. ET, ABC), sources told ESPN. After 10 days in the logs, the two-time MVP had a tough workout on Friday and, barring one setback, is expected to be available.
