British boy, 16, arrested for raping UK girl same age at hotel in Mallorca, ‘attack ended when her mother walked in’

Police have reportedly arrested a 16-year-old Briton suspected of raping a British girl of the same age at a hotel in Mallorca on Monday.
The girl’s mother is said to have stopped the alleged sex attack after entering it while it was taking place at the unnamed resort hotel on the holiday island’s east coast.
She set off the alarm by shouting and summoning concerned staff.
According to local reports, the incident is the focus of an ongoing investigation led by the Guardia Civil on Monday.
The respected island newspaper Ultima Hora said the girl went into her room with the teenager she met the same day and kissed him in an act of approval before deciding she didn’t want to go any further.
It was said she told detectives he reacted violently and pushed her onto the bed before forcing himself on her.

She is said to have checked into the hotel with her family a few days earlier.
The unnamed Briton is said to have been arrested after his arrest in police cells in the city of Manacor and, under normal circumstances, will be questioned by a juvenile judge in the coming hours.
The Guardia Civil could not be reached this morning for an official statement.
The force is also investigating another alleged crime in the Mallorcan town of Llucmajor, in which a 22-year-old has been accused of kidnapping a 12-year-old to allegedly rape her.
The suspect arrested on Sunday was accused of locking the teen in a storeroom behind a shop and offering her money for sex after showing her a pornographic video before she was able to escape and sound the alarm.
He is not believed to be British, although police have not yet confirmed his nationality.
