A Boeing 747 air tanker crashed Monday afternoon whereas combating a wildfire on Western Australia’s southern coast, based on the native media outlet WAtoday. 

The Boeing 737 Fireliner Nationwide Giant Air Tanker crashed round 4:15 PM native time close to Fitzgerald River Nationwide Park. The aircraft was concerned in firefighting efforts on the time of the crash. 

Each pilots survived the crash and had been rescued by a quick-response helicopter workforce.  

“The 2 pilots on board had been retrieved from the crash web site by helicopter and airlifted to Ravensthorpe Airport,” WA Police stated Monday night.

“Each survived the crash with minor accidents and had been conveyed to hospital through St John WA.”

The 737 took off from Busselton-Margaret River Regional Airport round 3:30 PM native time.

Australian Transport Security Bureau will quickly examine what triggered the aircraft to return down.
