Rhys Frake-Waterfield is uncompromising in his imaginative and prescient for a murderous Pooh and Piglet in his slasher, as he has not shied away from having them brutally homicide and cannibalize their beloved pal, Eeyore. In “Blood and Honey,” these creatures are pushed by a rabid sense of retribution, which has led them to seek out and devour anybody who crosses their path. The issue with Frake-Waterfield’s first draft was not that it was too gory, because the writer-director gladly needs to push the envelope with regards to making a grisly, ruthless world for his movie.

As an alternative, the problem was that he needed to be extraordinarily cautious concerning the iterations of the characters he may draw inspiration from, as those beneath the Walt Disney trademark would have instantly led to copyright infringement.
