Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Saturday mentioned he had ordered the takedown of an object that was flying at a excessive altitude over the Yukon in Northern Canada.

In an announcement on Twitter, Trudeau mentioned the article was shot down by an American fighter jet on his orders.

@NORADCommand shot down the article over the Yukon,” Trudeau tweeted. Canadian and U.S. plane had been scrambled, and a U.S. F-22 efficiently shot down the article, he added.

Trudeau mentioned he and U.S. President Joe Biden had been in contact concerning the mission.

The North American Aerospace Defence Command first confirmed the article’s presence over Northern Canada this afternoon.

Whereas NORAD says it was in a position to determine the article, officers have refused to disclose what it was.

The item is the third identified to have violated North American airspace previously two weeks.
