The controversial Georgia congresswoman was tapped as one of many large interviews on the weekly journal information program, with none apart from Lesley Stahl taking over the problem of speaking to her on digital camera. The official “60 Minutes” account teased their time collectively.

Their description of MTG was weirdly flattering … a minimum of that is what number of took it, and it left a whole lot of of us bitter. “60 Minutes” writes of Rep. Greene, “Georgia Republican Rep. In fact, political pundits and journos on the fowl app have been crying foul for the previous 24 hours … overtly questioning why CBS would assume it is a good suggestion to sit down down with Greene.
It was an honor to spend a couple of days with the legendary icon Leslie Stahl and proficient crew @60Minutes.
Leslie is a trailblazer for ladies in journalism.
And whereas we could disagree on some points, I respect her significantly.

The rationale they’re asking, after all, is as a result of MTG has, at occasions, apparently proven assist for the Jan. 6 riot, displayed transphobia, advocated for a brand new nationwide secession … and continued to assist President Trump, amongst many different points.
For her half, Greene truly signaled that the interview went nicely … shouting out Stahl for being a trailblazer in journalism, and for giving her truthful questions. Contemplating how rosy and comfy these tweets are … some really feel like Stahl would possibly’ve let her off simple. Time will inform.
