ZAGREB, Croatia — A small airplane crashed on Friday in northern Croatia, killing two folks on board, authorities stated.

The airplane crashed round 12:30 p.m. throughout takeoff on the airport within the city of Pula, within the Istria peninsula, in accordance with the Ministry of Sea, Site visitors and Infrastructure.

Authorities have launched an investigation to find out the reason for the crash, a press release stated.

The victims are overseas nationals, Pula airport supervisor Nina Vojnic Zagar stated. Croatian media say the airplane had German registration markings.
